Inauguration of 10th Annual ‘Dahisar Dussehrara – Dandiya Raas’ by GSB Sabha at N.L Complex, Dahisar

Mumbai, Sep. 21: Navaratri Utsav 2017 began at Saraswat Cultural and Recreation Centre, N.L Complex, Dahisar (E) in the presence and blessings of Shrimad Sudhindra Teertha Swamiji and Shrimad. Sayamindra Teertha Swamiji. Later decennial ‘Dahisar Dussehra’ celebration was inaugurated by Installing Goddess Saraswathi Devi at a well decorated pandal.

Vedamurthi Lakshmi Narayana Baht, Vedamurthi Ullas Bhat, Vedamurthi Manjunath Puranik, Vedamurthi, Vinayaka Puranik and others performed various Poojas and blessed the devotees. Various Bhajan groups performed Bhajans. In the evening, Bhajan Group from Sudhindra Nagar presented cultural program.

Kundapura Shrinivasa Prabhu- Convener of GSB sabha Dahisar-Borivili Association, J.D. Rao, C.M.S. Rao, Shobha V. Kulkarni, Suguna K. Kamath, K. R. Malya- president, M. Uday Padiyar- Hon. Gen. Secretary, Mohan A. Kamath- Hon. Treasurer, Vinod K. Prabhu- Joint Secretary, many others were present at the program.

The following events would be held in the program- On Friday (Sep.22)- Annapoorneshwari Pooja, Bhajan by women wing of local committee, Bunts Association Jogeshwari, Dahisar, Bharatanatyam by Akshay Haire and students of Vitamin Arts Association. On Saturday (Sep.23) - VaishnoDevi Pooja, Bhajan By Jitendra Mistri group, Dance Performances by Samskruthi Culture Academy. On Sunday (Sep.24) - Durgaparameshwari Pooja, Devotional songs by Hemachandra Yernmal Team. On Monday (sep.25) - Chamundeshwari Pooja, Bhajan by Mahisha Mardhini Bhajan Mandali, dance performances by special children. On Tuesday (sep.26) -ShanthaDurga Pooja, Bhajan by Vigneshwara Bhajan Mandali, Bharatanatyam by Jeenal Mehta of Krishna Leela Dance Academy. On Wednesday (sep.27)- Chandika Devi Pooja, Bhajan by Hari Bolaa Bhajan Mandali, Cultural programs. On Thursday (sep.28) - Mahaakaali Pooja, Bhajan by Swarnanjali Bhajan Mandali, Deepotsava. On Friday (sep.29)- Mahaalakshmi Pooja, Bhajan by Vignartha Bhajan Mandali, Haldi-Kumkum. On Saturday (sep.30) - on the day of Vijayadashami, SharadaDevi Pooja will be held. At 9 AM distribution of book to students and bhajan. At 4 PM Lucky draw program of sarees will be held, and at 5 PM immersion procession will be held.

Sanoor Manohar Kamath- Organizer of the Utsav, joint secretary said, large number of devotees to witness the decennial Sharanavaraatri Mahotsav and to seek the blessings.

As usual, Garbha, Dandiya Raas will be held daily from 7 Pm to 10 PM. Every day, as a form of Prasadam, food will be offered to devotees. On Sunday Sep.28, from 6 PM Deepotsava will be held.

Devendra Fadnavis- Chief Minister of Maharashtra state, other ministers, Film Artists, Uddhav Thakre, Members of the Parliament and large number of devotees are expected to visit the Decennial Dahisar Dussehra celebration. On the day of Vijayadashami, on Saturday Sep.30 SharadaDevi Pooja will be held in the morning. At 9 AM distribution of book to students and Bhajan will be held. At 4 PM Lucky draw program of sarees will be held, and at 5 PM immerse procession will be held- said Sanoor Manohar Kamath- the organizer of the Utsav and the joint secretary of GSB Sabha.
