Mumbai, November 16: The Billawara Association promoted, The Bharat Co-operative Bank (Mumbai) Ltd, which started at Fort area of financial capital and commercial city -Mumbai is preparing once again to make a landmark. The hattrick winner of “Excellent Bank” award from the Institution of Co-operative Bank Association Ltd, the Bharath bank is inaugurating its 81st branch on November 18th, Wednesday morning at Mid-town Heights building, Alkapuri-the culture city of Gujarat, near Baroda Railway station. The 82nd branch will be inaugurated on Thursday, November 19th at Central Bazar complex of Varaccha city at Surat, Gujarat-said C R Mulky-The Managing Director and CEO of the bank.

After issuing the license from the Reserve Bank of India, The Bharat Bank started its service on August 21, 1978 at Billawara association Mumbai owned Mohan terrace building at Fort area with only a share capital of 6 lakh 32 thousand rupees. From 1978 to 1991, for 13 years the bank had only 5 branches. From 1991 onwards, in the period of 37 years the bank opened 80 branches and is going to open two more new branches at Gujarat state-this is achieved by the foresightedness and efficient leadership of Jaya C Suvarna –the current Executive president of the bank and progressive views of Management committee-announced Nithyananda D Kotian- Managing Director of the bank.

The President of the Rashtriya Billawara Maha Mandala and Executive president of the bank –Jaya C Suvarna will inaugurate the two new branches. On the eve of inaugural function-Ganahoma, Sathyanarayana Pooja, Vastu Pooja, Dwara pooja and other rituals will be conducted. The Asst.General Manager and Chief of the development board- Mohandas Hejmady requested all customers, shareholders and wellwishers to attend in the inaugural function and convey their good wishes for the success of the bank.
