Mumbai, August 16: The life of people will improvewhen there is discipline in our life. In this world of expectations, where standards are absent, a common man will be considered great. If we do our work honestly we will get respect automatically. Changes in the world are possible by devoted soldiers and by the service of the social workers. Sevadal should strive to make this a reality”-said Shankar D Suvarna, the executive president of Sevadal of Billawas Association.

He said these words during the inaugural function of 70th Independence Day celebration held under the presidentship of Nithyananda D Kotian-the president of Billawas Association, held on Monday at Billawara Bhavan, Santacruze (E).

After flag hoisting, Nithyananda D Kotian inaugurated the celebration of the national festival and he honored the newly married couple and member of the Sevadal -Vishvanatha M Suvarna and Shakunthala V Suvarna; and Shankar L Pujary- a retiring employ with shawl, boquet and memento.

“A service will become success by understanding the realities of life. If we treat others honestly, they also tend to respect us. We can achieve this by adopting displinein our life”-said Shankar Pujary.

Social worker Shankar K Suvarna, L V Amin, Raja V Salian, Bhaskara V Bangera, Dr. U Dhananjaya Kumar and Shakunthala K Kotian of women’s wing are present at the dais.

L V Amin and Nithyananda D Kotian expressed their views. The chief of the Sevadal Sudhakara Pujary, members and women volunteers;the honorary chief secretary Mahesh C Karkala, joint secretary Harish G Salian, honorary joint secretary Sadashiva A karkera, Nikhilesh Pujary Palimar, Bhaskar T Pujary, Shrinivasa Karkera, Ashok Sasihithlu, Shivaram Kotian, Vishvanath Thonse, Sa.Daya, Ravindra A Amin, Shrinivasa Kaup, Mohan Marnad, Chandrakala R Suvarna, Sumalatha V Amin and members were present.

The students of Gurunarayana night school recited the prayer. The honorary chief secretary Dharmapala G Anchan welcomed and delivered the introductory speech. The commander of the Sevadal Ganapathi K Pujary proposed the vote of thanks. Later Shankar Pujary distributed the identity card to the members of the Sevadal.
