Initiation of three day skit program at Mysore Association Auditorium

PRESENTATION OF THE SKIT- ‘VEERA UTTARA KUMARA’ BY TEAM HONGIRANA, SHIMOGA

Mumbai, Jan. 20: A three day skit program, presented by Kannada and Cultural Department, Bangalore and Adya Rangacharya Foundation in collaboration with Mysore Association Mumbai Organization, was started on Friday at Mysore Association Auditorium, Matunga (E).

Dr. Usha Desai- Director of Adya Rangacharya Foundation lit the lamp and initiated the program. During the occasion, theatre artist- Chandre Gowda Shimoga, Dr. B. R. Manjunath of the Mysore Association, Mumbai, K. Manjunath were present on the dais. Later, the skit ‘Veera Uttara Kumara’ was presented by the team Hongirana, Shimoga.

Today (Jan. 20) at 7:00 P.M. Amateur Dramatic Association (ADA) team, Bangalore, will be presenting the Kannada Skit ‘Gul-A-Bakavali’ under the direction of M. S. Satyu. Tomorrow (Jan. 21) at 6:30 P.M. Expression Theatre team, Bangalore will be presenting the Hindi skit ‘Kelu Janumejaya’ in the direction of Prakash Jadenavar.

On this occasion, prize distribution ceremony for the skit competitions will be held. Award winning theatre artist, play director- Dr. Bharath Kumar Polipu, will be arriving as the chief guest. Organizers of the committee and the manager of Mysore Association- B. K. Madhusudan, hereby requested the participation of all culture and art lovers across Mumbai.
