Mumbai, Dec.11: St. Paul’s Catholic Association which is rendering service since seven and a half decades, celebrated its 75th Annual day and Founders’ day on Sunday at St. Paul’s auditorium. In the occasion, Valerian D’Sa- Retd. Officer of Income Tax Department unveiled the main page of the souvenir - ‘St. Paul Diamond jubilee celebration’ and led initiation to the program. Also, he expressed his views.
Alphonse Mascarenhas-asst general manager of Mazgaon Dock Limited, Businessmen- Steven D’Mello, Denis Cardoza, V. D’Silva Kanjurmarg- senior poet and author, Thomas Noronha- senior member of the association were present as the guests of honor. Also, they expressed their views and wished on account of annual celebration and Christmas.
Sabina D’Mello and Eliza Martis accompanied Stany Fernandes and president and office bearers in initiating the program by lighting the lamp. And distributed the prizes to the winners and congratulated them.
On account of annual celebration, thanks giving mass was held at the Woodhouse Holy name cathedral, Colaba. Rev Fr Richard D’ Souza Trasi conducted the mass and blessed everyone.
Michael Lobo- Hon Treasurer, Antony Nazareth- Joint Secretary, Sunil Tauro- Joint Treasurer were present on the dais. Stany Fernandes offered bouquets and honored the guests and senior members. Vivian Machado compered the program. Prasad Nazareth- vice president proposed the vote of thanks. Praveen Almeida entertained everyone by dressing as Santa clause.
