WOMEN CELEBRATION THAT CREATED UNITY AWARENESS AMONG WOMEN
Mumbai, March 10: The Women’s Wing of Bunts Sangha Mumbai celebrated the International Women’s Day on a grand scale on Tuesday afternoon at Smt. Radhabhai Thimmappa Bandary auditorium of Buntara Bhavana at Kurla (E). The President of the association – Karnire Vishwanatha Shetty presided over the celebration and the Principal Secretary of Public Health Department of Maharashtra Government – Sujatha Sownik (IAS) was the chief guest, Prof. Dr. Vibhuti Patel, the Head of Department of Economics at Pre-University Level of SNDT Women’s University Mumbai was present as the honorary guest and Ms. Avantika Shetty, film actress was present as the special guest.
The Executive President of Women Wing – Latha Jayarama Shetty, Vice Executive President – Mamatha M Shetty, Hon. Secretary – Kavitha I R Shetty, Hon. Treasurer – Asha S Shetty, Joint Secretary – Asha S Shetty, Joint Treasurer – Prashanthi D Shetty were present on this occasion.
The celebration programme began with the prayer song of Ganesh by Ms. Asmitha Chandrahasa Rai. Various cultural programmes were presented by the Women’s and the Youth Wings of various regional committees of Bunts Sangha. The office bearers of the association appreciated and honored the guests, teams of various regional committees of the association who presented cultural programmes and also the sponsors.
The Hon. Chief Secretary of Bunts Sangha – Ulthooru Mohandas Shetty, Hon. Treasurer - CA| I.R. Shetty, Joint Secretary – Kishorekumar Shetty Kuthyar, Executive President of Youth Wing – Vivek V Shetty and the heads of various regional committees of the association and many other dignitaries were present on this occasion.
The Women’s Day celebration ended with the prayer by Suchitra K Shetty. The Executive President of Women’s Wing – Jayarama Shetty welcomed the gathering and delivered the introductory speech. Dr. Poornima S Shetty and Dr. Vijetha Shetty compered the programme. Kavitha I.R. Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.
