PERFORMANCE OF THE DRAMA “CHOWKATTINACHEYA CHITRA’ WRITTEN BY SA. DAYA

Mumbai, March 30: Chukki Sankula team of Mumbai performed the drama “Chowkattinacheya Chitra” during 3 days drama fest conducted at the city by Kannada Kalavrundha Mumbai association. The drama was written by Sa. Daya (Dayananda Salian), the renowned drama artist and the award winner.

On Tuesday, the second day of the drama fest which was conducted at Dr. M Vishweswaraiah auditorium of Karnataka Sangha Mumbai at Matunga (W), the drama “Chowkattinacheya Chitra” which conveys the fact that the life of people belonging to third gender is similar to the life of other people was performed. In the drama, Jagadish D Rai (Guru), Rajendra Madiwala (Mallika), Santhosh Devadiga (Rajani), Ahalya Ballal (mother and Dasi), Gopal Trasi (Yogitha, Saira). Rakshit Poojary (Rani_, Nitesh Devadiga (grandfather), Shruti Devadiga (Detara’s daughter), Ravi S Shetty (Police, brother), Arun Mogaveera (Damini), Bheemaraya Chilka (Jamuna), Nisha Devadiga (Preethi, brother’s wife), Karunakara Shetty, Hebri (Bhishma), Shankar Poojary (Asha), Guruprasad Devadiga (Detara), Shivasagar Devadiga (Bapia), Deepa Devadiga (sister), Umesh Suvarna (Roopesh) exhibited their performances in different roles.

The stage management was looked after by Kusuma Amin, P B Chandrahas, Arush N Shetty, a back-stage worker, costumes by Manjunatha Shettigar, Nayana D Salian, dance composition by Ganesh Kumar K Kale, Parikar, Rakshit and Shruthi, music by Vasu J Moily, Keyboard by Lancy D’Almeida, Tabla by Janardhana Salian and Chetana Ganesh Kumar, Shakuntala Prabhu, Vishwanatha Shetty Petri and Jayalakshmi Patil extended their co-operation and lighting & stage designing were done by Sa. Daya.

The President of Kannada Kalavrundha Mumbai association – Bailur Balachandra Rao, Vice President – S M Shetty, Hon. Chief Secretary – T R Madhusudhan, Treasurer – Ramesh M Rao, Joint Secretary – Ramesh Birti, skilled stage artists – Dr. Bharatkumar Polipu, Ondas Kannangar, B S Kurkal, Ranga Poojary, S K Sundar, Rajeev Naik, Ashok Valavoor, Dr. Karunakara Shetty, adv. Amitha Bagwath and many drama fans were present on this occasion.

Wednesday (March 30) evening: The organizers have informed that Gokula Kalavrundha Sayan team will perform the drama “Amma Nivrutharagthare” under the guidance of Tonse Vijayakumar Shetty.
