Konkani Carol Singing Competition held at Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Carmel Kutam, Bangalore organized Konkani Carol Singing Competition for Bangaloreans. It was a evening of ‘Angels Singing’ as the young children as well as elders competing each other with all energy and exuberance during ‘Konkani Christmasachin Gayanan Spardho’ held at Sadhbavana, Carmelite Provincialate Dr Rajkumar Road, Bangalore on Sunday 14th December 2014.

Among many a initiative to imbibe Konkani culture with the children and elders with a sense of togetherness among Konkani speaking Catholics after “Pokanan Nite” this competition was shared by Children’s upto 7th Std, Youths upto II PUC and rest forming ‘Elders’ who sang with gusto to the delight of the audience and co-participants.

The petite children from Konkani Catholic Sangh, Moodalapalya walked away with ‘Pratham Sthaan’ and Kon-Cab bagged the ‘Dusren Sthaan’

The enthusiastic Youngsters from Kon-Cab took the honours by taking‘Pratham Sthaan’ and Carmel Kutam took ‘Dusren Sthaan’

The energetic elders were engaged in healthy competition with Yeshwanthpur Group; running away with ‘Pratham Sthaan’ and KCS, Moodalapalya followed them with ‘Dusren Sthaan’

Smt. Pramila D’souza compered the evening and Rev Fr. William Miranda was the Chief Guest for the evening and gave away Trophies and cash awards to the winners. The competition was adjudicated by Mr. Noel Faleiro and Ms. Nidhi Aiyappa both graduates from London School of Music. Mr. Dolpy D’Cuna President of CARMEL KUTAM along with his dedicated office bearers organized this competition first time in Bangalore.
