Mumbai, Dec 14: Temples, Mosques, chirch or any other religious temples can be built in any sizes. But Garodis should be built with a specific measurement. Mumbaikars even with their busy schedule think about their deities and homeland. It is commendable that they organize such a religious programme and help people reduce their stress-said MLA Pramod Madhwaraj.

MLA Madhwaraj was speaking in a programme oraganized at Dr M Vishweshwaraiah auditorium of Karnataka Sangha Mumbai at Matunga(W) for educational fund raising by Sri Brahma Baidarkala panchadhoomavati Garody Tonse Mumbai subcommittee.

Nityanada D Kotian-the president of Pancha Dhoomavati Garody Tonse Mumbai Subcommittee presided over the function and S N Udupa-the chief priest of Sri Uma Maheshwari Temple Jerimeri gave blessings. Janardhan Tonse-executive president of Udupi Udrban Development authority, Industrialists C K Poojary, Prashnat Poojay, Nilesh Poojary palimaru, Film producer Rajashekhar kotian were present at the dais.

S N Udupa blessed the gathering and said that the power of God is the main reason for the development of any city. In the same way Sri Brahma Baidarkala Garadi is a blessing to the people of this city.

Tonse Garadi is in the first place among the 66 garodis of D.K district. Continuous support, cooperation of subcommittee is the main reason for the development of this garody-said Janardhan Tonse.

The guests and Pramod Madhwaraj felicitated the stage artist, the winner of Limca book of records –Vijay Kumar Tonse. Pramod Madhwaraj, Janardhan Tonse, Naveen Pojary-Ph D holder were also felicitated.

Sarvottam Poojary-the treasurer of the garody, Rama Poojary-joint secretary, Jayant I poojary, vice presidents of Mumbai subcommittee C.K.Poojary and Vishwanth Tonse, honorary chief secretary Tonse Sanjeeva Poojary, treasurer Raviraj Kallianpau, joint treasurer Vijay Sanil, members Ashok M Kotian, Soma Suvarna, Anand Jattan, Sadananda Poojary, Narayan Anchan, navin Gulibettu, Suresh Anchan, Rupkumar Kallianpur were present.

Sripati Rao sang the prayer. Jaycee Shekhar Gujjarbettu, Karunakar poojary, Vijay Palan and Vittal poojay introduced those who received felicitation. Vishwanth Tonse welcomed all , introduced the guests and conducted the programme and proposed vote of thanks.

“Madme Onji Andgettaa…!” a comedy play written by Naveen Salian Pitrody and directed by Suresh Shetty Jodukallu was exhibited by the artists of Tuluvere Udal Jodukallu.
