Palghar: Inauguration of St John International School Building of Adel Educational Institution

EDUCATION IS A FUEL TO KNOWLEDGE: BISHOP FERSIVAL FERNANDES

Mumbai, July 19: Student life is a golden time. Education is a fuel to knowledge and it has the energy to strengthen human life. So the children need to understand the importance of student life. This is the stage where one can lay a good foundation for a better future. The educational institutions should become centers that help every student to form their life. The support of students and parents is equally needed to achieve this. The children should learn to live in harmony-said Rev Fr Dr Fersival Joseph E.Fernandes.

Bishop Fersival Fernandis said these words while blessing the new building of St John International School, Thane, Maharashtra run by Aldel Education Trust.

Dr Rev Fr Francis Swamy, the principal of St Mary’s High School, Mazgaon, the best teacher award winner of Maharashtra state inaugurated the building by cutting the ribbon in a ceremony held on Monday. Albert W Dsouza the executive president of Aldel Trust presided over the function.

Madam Grace Pinto the managing director of Rayan International School was the chief guest. Mugdha Rawat of St John College was honored for securing first rank in B.Pharm.

Fr Francis, Madam Grace Pinto advised students and parents about their respective responsibilities.

In his presidential address Albert Dsouza said, “We started this institution a decade ago and we feel proud that we are catering the educational needs of the local people. At present approximately 600 students are studying upto high school. We dedicate this institution for the overall development of the children”.

Campus directors, advisors, principals, trust authorities, religious sisters and many dignitaries were present and wished good luck to the newly established international school.

The programme began by singing a hymn to St. Francis of Aussisi and saraswati vandane. The students presented welcome dance, music programme and other events. Tania Pullat introduced the guests and conducted the programme. Mary Dsouza proposed vote of thanks. National Anthem was sung at the end of the programme.
