LET US START PREPARE FOR THE KINGDOM OF RAMA-VISHVAPRIYATHEERTHA SWAMIJI

Mumbai, April 08: “As usual the new year has started. Today is the first day of the new-year. For us ugadi is the new-year and not January 1. For schools, banks, auditors and for everyone this is the beginning of the year. We had dispelled the British from here and we should retain our self-respect by dismissing British culture and this is the message of Ugadi”-said Vishvapriya Theertha Swamiji of Adamaru Mutt.

Adamaru pontiff said these words on Friday evening after giving a preaching on Ramayana, in a meeting held for the preparation of annual celebration of Shri Rama Navami, at Adamaru Mutt, Irla, Andheri(W).

“Let the Lord Shri Rama bless us with good qualities. Let our leaders establish a real “Rama-Rajya”. To achieve this, let us surrendor to Rama. An Indian should not have bad ideas. By adapting the values of “Bhagavatha” in our life, let us lead a fruitful life” was the message from Vishvapriya theertha Swamiji.

Before that, a spiritual and cultural programme was held. With the leadership of Vijayalakshmi Suresh Rao, Gokulakrishna Bhajan Mandali and Gokula Bhajan Mandali of Andheri performed the bhajans. Swamiji offered the pooja and distributed the “mantrakshathe” to devotees.

The programme was held under the leadership of Lakshminarayana Muchinthaya-the Diwan of Adamaru Mutt, Mumbai branch. During the occasion, Vasudeva Udupa, Sabakka Khedkar, Raghavendra Udupa, Rathna Acharya, Sudhir R L Bhat, R L Bhat, Shivaram Naik, Harry R Sequira, priests and others were present. Parel Shrinivasa Bhat – welcomed all, V Rajesh Rao-the manager of the Adamaru Mutt of Mumbai branch proposed vote of thanks.

On Sunday, 10th April at evening Bharathanatya from Amitha Jathin group, on Monday 11th April devotional songs from Vidushi Chandrika Bhat, On Tuesday April 12th in the evening, Carnatic Music by Arundhathi Rao will be held. V Rajesh Rao requested all devotees to participate in these spiritual programmes.
