Release of Konkani Book “Anaatha Bhurgho” by Leo Fernandes

Mumbai, March 20: The “Anaatha Bhurgho” book written by Leo Fernandes Jerimari-the president of Maharashtra Konkan Association was released at St.Jude church, Kurla (W),

The parish priest of St. Jude church, Rev.Fr Lancy Pinto, released the book and said “There are lakhs of orphaned children in our country. They are struggling to get a single meal.Taking this issue seriously, Leo Fernandezhas written a book on this subject and this is a matter of pride. This book has a very good intention and has been writtenwith the purpose of providing help to poor children. If everyone purchases the book, the intention will be fulfilled”

Writer Leo Fernandes in his introductory speech said “What your pay for this book will feed a child for a week. This is an opportunity to help the deprived”

Walter D’souza-the former president of the Konkan Association, Benedicta B Rebello-the current president, John Vegas were present during the occasion. Publisher Lilly Fernandez proposed vote of thanks.

Prior to this, Parish priest Rev.Fr Joseph Mascarenzas had released this book symbolically at St.Antony church of Ujire, Belthangady and requested everyone to purchase the book and said -Ifyou buy this book,it will be helpful to the Seon Ashram of Bantwal. On this occasion the director of the Ashram Paulus, Vice-president Stanley, secretary Lavina and sister Monthi were present.
