Sad demise of Kajupada Amma – Smt. Gulabi S Poojary

Mumbai, August 31: Smt. Gulabi Suresh Poojary (65), a resident of Jarimari Kajupada (Sakinaka) of Kurla (West) died last Saturday (30.08.14) late night at Hiranandani Hospital of Povai due to short-term illness.

She is originally from Kemmannu Tonse of Udupi and is the wife of Suresh Poojary, owner of Hotel Ravi of Jarimari. She is the paternal aunt of Mr. Sanjeeva Poojary Tonse who is the Mumbai Committee Secretary of Shri Brahma Baidarkala Garodi Tonse. She was survived by her husband, two daughters and a son.

She was very much loved by the residents of Kajupada and the localites used to call her Kajupada Amma. The President of Billawa Association Mumbai – Nithyananda D Kotian, former President L.V. Amin, social workers Ravi Mendon Kurkal, Ramesh Rai Kaiyyaru, JC Shekhar Gujjarabettu and many others participated in the funeral of the deceased and paid their salutation.

The Executive President of Bharat Bank and the President of Rashtriya Billawa Mahamandala – Jaya C Suvarna, Tonse Jayakrishna Shetty, Dharmapal U Devadiga and Vishwanath U Mada expressed their condolences. The funeral of the deceased was performed on Sunday afternoon at the Cemetery at Sakinaka’s Sagbhag.
