Mumbai: Seventh Annual General Body Meeting of St. Joseph’s Konkani Welfare Association Miraroad was held at 6 pm on 17th July 2016 at “Infnat Jesus Hall” of St. Joseph’s Church, Mira Road. Meeting started with a prayer lead by Fr. Melwyn D’Cunha, OCD, Spiritual Director of the Association. Mr. John Crasta, President of the Association welcomed the members. He also thanked the committee members and all members for the co-operation given in the last three years.

During the meeting, Mr. Arun Noronha, Secretary of the Association, gave a brief report of the work carried out during last year.

Speaking on the occasion, Fr. Melwyn D’Cunha, OCD said that our Christian values teach us to serve. We should serve for the betterment of the Konkani without thinking of any name or fame. He requested the members of the Association to select able serving persons for the next committee.

During the meeting election was held and 13 new committee members were elected for the next three years.

On 20th July, 2016, first meeting of the new committee was held and new office bearers were selected.

Secretary: Ms. Sofia D’sa.

Treasurer: Mr. Lawrence Mathias.

Cultural Secretary: Mr. Jossy Gonsalves.

Vice President: Mr. Wilson D’Souza.

Joint Secretary: Mr. Jerald D’Souza.

Assistant Treasurer: Mr. John Correa.

Committee members: Mr. John Crasta, Mr. Arun Noronha, Mr. Richard Mathias, Mr. Denis Rebeiro, Mr. Roni Lobo, Mr. Victor Mascarenhas.
