SEMINAR-BOOK RELEASE-FELICITATION

Mumbai, Apr 19: Shimunje Parari (Sitarama Shetty) literature fest was organized at the Kavivarya Kusumagraja Marathi language auditorium of Mumbai University on Saturday. This was organized by the Kannada Dept of Mumbai University in association with ShimunjeParari felicitation committee, Mumbai.

Entrepreneur Mudradi Divakar N. Shetty presided over the programme. Dr. G. V. Kulakarni – the senior writer, Advocate Kadandale Parari Prakash L.Shetty, Chandrashekara Palethadi –the President Kannadiga Journalist Association Maharashtra, Entrepreneurs Gunapala Shetty Aikala, Raghurama K. Shetty (Belgaum), Bhujanga R. Shetty were present.

Mudrady Divakar Shetty released the book ‘sampreeti’ published under the editorial ship of Dr, Purnima Sudhakara Shetty and under the honorary editorial ship of chief of the Kannada dept Dr. G.N. Upadhya. Senior writer Shimunje Parari and Chandrika Sitaram S Shetty were honoured with memento, certificate and cash prize.

Many laurels gave lectures about various achievements and life of Shimunje Parari.

Senior writer, poet B. S. Kurkal welcomed the gathering. Poet, writer G. V. Kulakarni delivered congratulatory speech. Petemane Prakash Shetty – the organizer compered the programme. G. T. Acharya –the member of editorial committee proposed vote of thanks.

Parsappa Harijan, Surekha Devadiga, Anitha Shetty, Roopa Sangolli, Ashok Valador, Santhosh Mogaveera, Surappa Kundar – the students of Kannada department co-operated for the programme. Office bearers of various associations, members of executive committee, fans of Shimunje were present on the occasion.
