Shrikrishna Janmastami- Vitla Pindi Celebration at Pejawara Mutt Mumbai

Mumbai, Aug.17: Shri Krishna Janmastami (Vitla Pindi) was celebrated traditionally at Shri Pejavara Mutt- Prabath colony Santacruz (E), Mumbai. Since morning large number of devotees worshiped Lord Shri Krishna. On this occasion Rang Pooja, Chendesuttu, Mahaa Pooja, Mangalaarati were held.

In the evening Shri Krishna Vitla Pindi Utsav was celebrated in the surroundings of the mutt. Vidwan Vishnumurthy Adiga performed Krishna rathotsav along with Utsava bali. Later cultural programs and Shrikrishna fancy dress competition were organized for kids. Dr. A.S. Rao- President of Poornaprajna Vidhyapeeta, initiated the program by lighting the lamp. Kum. Vindya Acharya Udupi performed Bharatanatyam and Vidwan Mukunda Pai Karkala presented Dasavaani program.

Vishnumurthy Acharya Udupi, Vikrant Urvaal- Director of IITC, Dr. Suresh N.S. Rao Kateel- president of Poornaprajna Vidhyapeeta, B.R. Gurumurthy- Honorary Secretary, Avinash Shastri- Honorary Treasurer, members of the executive committee, managers of Pejavara Mutt Mumbai branch- Prakash Acharya Raamakunja, Ramdas Upadhyaya Renjala, Hari Bhat, Niranjan Gogte, S. Saabakka, Srinivas Bhat Parel, Vidwan Aravinda Bannintaaya, Sudheer R. L. Bhat, Gundu Bhat Joshi, Mukunda Baithamangalkar, Laxminarayana Acharya, Vishnuteertha Saali, Raghavendra Bhat Dombivili, Ravi Suvarna Ghatkoper and many devotees were present at this occasion.
