Mumbai, September 19: The student of the Miami Advertising Institution (Miami Ad.school Mumbai) Miss Sonica Gilbert Baptist has been selected for prestigious Clio Award.

Recently during the earthquake disaster in Nepal Sonica Baptist designed an unique ad with the help of her friends Rushad Patil and Himanish Asharand to help thousands of peoplein Nepal. With the help of many donors they helped the people during the disaster through Medias such as Facebook, You tube etc.Realizing this service the institution has elected Sonica Baptist for this prestigious honor.

Clio-the world famous institution has recognized her service and elected her for this fame. Sonica Baptist worked as a Graphic Designer in this project and designed the ad by creating many people-friendly plans and concepts. Sonica said, “We worked hard for this project and had many sleepless nights. Our hard work has been recognized. Only three of us represented from Mumbai and we have been elected for this award for the work we did for the welfare of the society and for the people to get aid at their difficult times”.

Gilbert Baptist and Marcelene G Baptist-the Managing Director of the Malaika Group of Companies,a renowned Home appliances shop, are the parents and Malaika,Yashika are the sisters of Sonica. Gilbert Baptist is originally from Shambhuru in Panemangalur, Bantwal Taluk of Karnataka.
