With the joint association of Sanjeevini Social Welfare Trust and Yakshaseve Mumbai

Mumbai, March 06: With the joint association of Sanjeevini Social Welfare Trust and Yakshaseve Mumbai, the State level flood light “Tunga Cricket Tournament 2017” was organized on Sunday for Tulu-Kannadiga people at Air India Sports Club ground, Santacruze, Kalina. Sanjay J Pothnis-the local MLA inaugurated the tournamnet.

During the inaugural session, chief guest of the programme and president of the Bunt’s Association Mumbai-Prabhakar L Shetty released the pigeons to the sky and inaugurated the sports event traditionally. Chandrahasa Guruswamy Innanje, local Mayor Shaguna Nayak, Vidyadayini Sabha President J M Kotian, Social worker Sana Qureshi, Vijaya B Bhandary- the president of Heggade Seva Sangha, Sanjeeva P Hegde-the executive president, Vikramananda Shetty-the president of Kannada Association Ghodbandar Road, industrialist Harish Salian Ghodbandar, Shekhara Gouda Vakola and others were present.

Sanjay J Pothnis, Prabhakara Shetty, Shagun Nayak, Sana Qureshi, Chandrahasa Innanje expressed their views and wished good luck. The chief organizer of the programme, Yuvaraj Shetty Heranje welcomed all. Yogish Hegde-the president of Sanjeevini Social Welfare Trust, Bangalore, Uday Koteshvar, Pawan Ram Kalina, Venugopal Shetty Ira, Lokesh Pujary, and S Dayanand- honored the guests with bouquets. KBS Mohammad Gazali introduced the guests and compered the programme. Sandeep Hegde-the organizer and secretary of the Sanjeevini Trust Mumbai proposed the vote of thanks.

In the beginning of the tournament, a tribute was offered to all soldiers especially for Sandeep Naik Hasan one who lost his life in the recent past. The sports events began with National anthem and hundreds of sports fans enjoyed the tournament. Prakash Shetty Belagodu, A K Shetty Naduru and Afran Faruque gave commentary. More than 20 teams participated in this event and Karnataka Vishwakarma team and Sanvi Start Teams competed in the opening match. The flood light match ended at late night.
