The 8th Annual General of Kannada Artist Forum Maharashtra

THE ARTISTS SHOULD SHOW GENEROSITY: SURENDRA KUMAR HEGDE

Mumbai, September 29: The 8th Annual General Meeting of the Kannada Artist Forum of Maharashtra was carried out on Tuesday evening at Samarasa Bhawan of Karnataka Sangha Mumbai, Matunga(W). The senior artist and writer Dr.Sunitha M Shetty inaugurated the meeting by lighting the lamp.

The General body meeting which was carried out in the presidentship of Surendra Kumar Hegde-The President of the Forum, the joint secretary Chandravathi Devadiga, the founder president of the Forum S.T.Vijayakumar Tingalaya and Senior artists Dr Vyasaraya Ninjuru, H.B.L.Rao, Thonse Vijayakumar Shetty, V.K.Suvarna were present at the dais and lighted the lamp.

 

The Artist Forum is actively involved in social service in a secular manner and without discrimination of language.This forum is striving hard for artist’s individual and overall development. Security of artist’s life is our motto. To fulfill this every artist should show generocity -said Surendrakumar in his presidential speech.

“In Maharashtra there are many varieties of artists. Generally theatre artists and film artists are considered as artists and not others. This kind of limitation should not be there, artists should show their unity in diversity by coming under a single stage. To achieve this, forum has decided to publish an artist guide of all artists. We are trying to make this book, as a book of record. With the co-operation of every artist, fans, well-wishers, we will be publishing this book as a record. Similarly, Arogyanidhi and Insurance projects are our up-coming projects, we need a funding for these. Without funding, foundation of the forum will not become strong. By the support of money and people the foundation will become strong”-said Surendra Kumar.

The Honorary Chief Secretary Navunda Raju Sriyan-read the last 7th years General body meeting report. Treasurer P.B,Chandrahas gave the informtion about the Annual budget. After that K.V.R.Aithal, Rao and Ashok Charterd Accountant association were selected as Charterd Accountant of the Forum .

In the meeting Coordinator Kusuma Poojary, the executive members Damodar Shetty Iruvailu, Ashok Sasihitlu, Karnuru Mohan Rai, Padmanabha Sasihitlu, Juliet Periera were present. Dr Sunitha M Shetty, H.B.L.Rao, K.K.Shetty, Dr Vyasaraya Ninjuru, Thonse Vijayakumar Shetty, Gururaj S Nayak, Anil Hegde, Mohan Marnad, Omdas Kannangar, Aravind Shetty Kojakolly, Tara Bangera, Vital Prabhu. S.T.Vijaya Kumar and others were expressed their openions, appreciated the service of Forum and gave their advice for the development. Ramesh Shivapura conducted the programme. The joint treasurer Naveen Shetty,Inna Balike- proposed the vote of thanks.

The President of the Forum Surendra Kumar Hegde honoured the Thonse Vijayakumar Shetty N.T.Poojary and Kamalaksha Saraf for their unique service in the field of theatre. Ranjani Maily sung the prayer. The vice-president Kamalaksha Saraf welcomed all. R
