Mumbai, August 28: Tulu Yakshaghana Fest (Mumbaid Tulu Yakshaghana Parba) will be held in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai from 1st to 7th September by Dakshina Kannada Yaksha Tulu Parba Committee under the sponsorship of Akhila Bharatha Tulu Okkootta (R).

Tulu Yakshaghana fest is going to begin from September 1st onwards at 5.00 pm. at Dr. M. Vishweswaraiah auditorium, Karnataka Sangha, Matunga with the episode of “Koti Chennaiah”. On Sept. 2, Wednesday, “Shripathi Shrimathi” Yakshaghana of D. Manohar Kumar will be performed at Shri Mookambika temple, Ghansoli from 5.00 pm onwards. On Sept. 3, Thursday – ‘Sarapadidha Sarpe” Yakshaghana of Sarapadi Ashoka Shetty will be performed from 5 pm onwards at Devadiga Bhavana, Nerol Gaondev. On Sept. 4, Friday –‘Gejjedha pooje” Yakshaghana of D. Manohar Kumar will be performed from 5 pm at Billawara Bhavana, Santacruz Mumbai. On Sept. 5, Saturday, “Gejjedha pooje” Yakshaghana of D. Manohar Kumar will be performed from 5 pm at Hegade Seva Sangha Airoli, Navi Mumbai. On Sept. 6, Sunday, “Bangardha Thottil” of Late Shekhara V Shetty Belman will be performed from 5 pm at Shri Ayyappa temple, Sector 2, Meera Road. On Sept. 7, Monday, “Gejjadha pooje” of D Manohar Kumar will be performed from 5 pm at Savithri Bai Pule, Kalamandira, Dombivili. Polya Laxminarayana Shetty, Puthige Raghurama Holla, Kadaba Ramachandra Rai, Sujaya Hegde Kutluru and Chandrashekhara Guruvayanakere will be participating at the back vocals and the renowned Yakshagana artists will be entertaining the fans through various roles”, said D.
