Udupi MLA Pramod Madhwaraj felicitated at Billawa Bhavana

Mumbai. Dec.14: Billawa Association Mumbai felicitated Pramod Madhwaraj, the parliamentary secretary of tax dept of government of Karnataka and MLA of Udupi constituency.

Nityananda D Kotian-the president of Billawa Association Mumbai presided over the felicitation programme and Jaya C Suvarna the president of Rashtriya Billawa Mahamandala and executive president of Barat Bank along with other office bearers felicitated Pramod Madhwaraj with a shawl and offering fruits and memento. Vijay Kumar Shetty Tonse –a stage artist and a record holder of Limca Book of Records and Janardhan Tonse –the president of Udupi Urban Development were also felicitated. Chandrashekhar Palettady-the president of Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangha Maharashtra was present as the chief guest.

Replying to the felicitation Pramod Madhwaraj said, “we must leave back classism and castism and uphold humanity. Sri Narayana Guru is my ideal and he told the same in his message. It is commendable that Billawa Association is following his ideals.”

Vijaykumar Shetty said, “this is the highest honor of my life. I received this honor in the presence of my friends and relatives. “

Janardhana Tonse spoke, “I am a honest politician and Pramod Madhwaraj is the reason for this. I need your blessings to serve the society”

Chandrashekhar Palettady opined, “Pramod Madhwaraj has a good political future. I greet him for being appointed as a secretary of tax dept. Tax dept is the most corrupt dept. Let it become corrupt free in your tenure. I feel happy that a good politician and artists are honored today.”

Jaya C Suvarna and Nityanada D Kotian appreciated the work of Billawa association and thanked the politician and artists for receiving the felicitation.

On this occasion Deekha Devadiga the District Rajyotsava award winner was also felicitated.

The vice presidents Raja V Salian, Bhaskar V Bangera, Shankar D Poojary and Dr U Dhananjya Kumar, honorary chief treasurer Mahesh C Karkala, executive president of women’s wing Shakuntala k Kotian, Nilesh Poojary –executive president of youth development committee were present on the dais.

Various office bearers received Pramod Madhwaraj at the Mumbai airport. Then they put garland to Brahmashree Narayana guru and Koti Chennayya statue instated at the association bhavan. Pooja was offered and tirtha prasadam was distributed.

Dharmpal G Anchan-honorary chief secretary welcomed all and gave introductory speech. Harish K hejmady introduced the guests and compered the programme. Joint secretary Dhananjay S Kotian sang the prayer and conducted the cultural programme.
