Varadaraja Adya Gold Medal to Deepika Nagendra Bhat

Mumbai, Feb. 24: The Mumbai University has announced that Deepika Nagendra Bhat has become eligible for Varadaraja Adya gold medal by getting first rank in Kannada MA examination conducted by Mumbai University during April-May 2014.

Deepika Bhat is basically a resident of Mudrady village near Hebri of Karkala Taluk. She is a Yakshaghana artist and has shown her performances at various places. She has exhibited her performance in Mumbai and Udupi through Badaguthittu Yakshaghana and also acted in Kannada dramas. Moreover, she has developed the habit of photography and writing poems. She is the daughter of Shridhar Kalkura and Varalakshmi couple of Mudrady’s Uppala.
