Victor Mendonca, native of Naguri, Mangalore is no more
The owner and staff of Hotel Chakra are the family members of the deceased
Mumbai, Sep 30: Victor Mendonca (68) working as a captain at Hotel Chakra, Sakinaka, Andheri (E) died today due to short term illness. He was unmarried.
It is said that his native place is Naguri of Kankanady, Dakshina Kannada District and he is the son of Joseph Mendonca. Since last three decades he was working as a captain in Hotel Chakra. Recently he was admitted to the Mukund hospital at Marol Naka due to illness. The owner and staff of the hotel were looking after him as he had no family members. He breathed his last today morning.
His brother’s daughter used to meet him rarely a few years ago and used to take away his salary. It is said that she only has given her consent for the funeral. Flora Dsouza Kalmady of Konkan Tara Jerimeri has come forward to perform the funeral. Funeral rites will be held at the St Jude Church of Jerimeri , Kurla (W) at 9.30 am and will be buried at the graveyard of Holy Cross Church Kamani, Kurla (W). Devu Shetty, the owner of Hotel Chakra has requested the family members and relatives of Victor, if any, to attend the funeral.
