Mumbai, October 07: The two persons passed away and many passengers were injured in an accident between two buses at Mumbai-Pune highway near Khopoli of Raighad district.
The bus by name Shivaneri belonging to Maharashtra Road Transport, which was travelling to Mumbai through Pune-Lonawala route, met with an accident by the failure of the axle on the Khopoli Ghat slope. After breaking the road divider, the bus lost the control and collided with another bus named Jee Jai Travels which was moving to Pune from Ahmedabad.
In the incident, a couple who were travelling to Pune by Jee Jai bus got severe injuries. It was a heart breaking scene. Khopoli Laxminagar Police arrived at the spot, filed a case and investigation is in process.
