Governor releases ‘Incomplete Story of Animation’ by ace Animator Bhimsain

The Governor of Maharashtra Ch Vidyasagar Rao released the book ‘Incomplete Story of Animation’ authored by well-known film maker and animator Bhimsain Khurana at Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Wednesday (30th Nov).

 

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor remarked that Animation is an effective tool to reach out to the audiences of all age groups. Observing that animation industry in India is evolving rapidly, he asked universities and private animation institutes in the country to further develop, equip and upgrade their infrastrcutre and programmes to provide best learning experience to students. He also asked universities to develop and design post graduate programmes in animation. 


The Governor said that the book authored by Bhimsain, who has also made films like Gharonda and Dooriyan, has immense academic value and would be welcomed by students and academicians.

Bhimsain Khurana, his filmmaker son Kireet Khurana, Additional Director General of Doordarshan Mukesh Sharma, publisher Rajan Bawdekar and others were present. The bilingual book (Hindi & English) has been published by Lokvangmay Griha Prakashan.
