Governor spends Diwali with old, infirm, handicapped & street children

Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao accompanied by his wife Vinodha on Thursday (23 Oct) visited the King George V Memorial Infirmary at Mahalaxmi on the occasion of Diwali and enquired about the wellbeing of the old and the destitute at the Anand Niketan Home for the Aged.

The Governor also visited the Vatsalya Foundation in the premises and distributed sweets to street children looked after at the Centre.

Municipal Commissioner Sitaram Kunte, trustees D M Sukhatankar and R H Mendonca briefed the Governor about the activities of the Infirmary.
