Renowned Kirtaniye invited from Punjab, Delhi and Maharashtra recited GurbaniShabads while prominent Kathakar's and Dhadi’s shared the Sikh heritage and the martyrdom of Sikh Gurus made by them for the preservation of our culture from time to time. To name a few GianiKishan Singh Ji (Amritsar Wale), Bhai Baljeet Singh Ji, Bhai Maninder Singh (Srinagar Wale) and Bhai Nishant Singh Ji participated in the 3-DayGurbaaniKirtan Samagam. As usual Guru KaLangarand other snacks were continuously served during the Kirtan Samagam.

One of the most significant feature of this religious congregation was an innovative theme of the year i.e. Guru Granth Sahib, An Epitome of Interfaith co-existence and Universal Brotherhood was displayed in 3-D with professional touch. This was the 7th year of the display system Gursewak Jatha has appropriately used to highlight theme of the year. Of course this years theme, ‘Guru Granth Sahib, An Epitome of Interfaith co-existence and Universal Brotherhood’ selected by the Gursewak Jatha depicted the scenario prevalent in the present day life of intolerance and lack of mutual understanding in the Faiths.

Guru Granth Sahib compiled and installed in 1604 AD became the living example of Interfaith Co-existence with the inclusion of holy hymns written by the various Sufi Saints, Hindu Bhagats and others belonging to different faith, caste and creedal. It was first to initiate the philosophy of interfaith dialogue to develop mutual understandings and to avoid any sort of conflict or violence. A lot of information about the Banikars of Guru Granth Sahib giving their brief life sketch and the holy hymns they wrote was also displayed for the visiting devotees, particularly for the benefit of the younger generation.

About 35000 devotees attended the congregation on all the 3 days. Distinguished personalities and local leaders from cross-section of Navi Mumbai graced the occasion. Shri Ganesh Naik, the popular leader of Navi Mumbai and an Ex-Minister of Excise, Govt. of Maharashtra, Sonawane, Mayor of Navi Mumbai, and ShriRaju Shinde, Corporator attended the function and addressed the gathering.
