Mumbai, Dec 6, 2015: DawnTrekker, the first ever morning party to celebrate fitness in India, had a rocking launch this morning with hundreds of fitness buffs joining zumba and yoga sessions against the backdrop of grooving music at Radio Bar in Khar (West).

Launched by GymTrekker, India’s first online portal to consolidate health and fitness solutions on a single platform, the morning party became an instant hit to spread the message of healthy living with over 500 fitness lovers joining the party for fitness. The Gymtrekker fitness app for Android and IOS system was also launched on the occasion.

“More than the fun and frolic, we were able to draw some attention to the most important theme of living a healthy life through this event,” said Sambhav Jain, one of the founders of GymTrekker.

He said, this would be a regular feature in Mumbai and will be extended to 15 more cities in the coming months, in a bid to infuse the message of fitness that is comfortably discarded between the long working hours and sedentary lifestyle.

A host of organisations like Ola Cabs, Max, Talwalkars, Divine Juice, Tea Trails and Gold Gym were partners for the event.

The party began with Zumba. Lights were dimmed and a DJ played foot-tapping numbers on his console as a motley group of fitness enthusiasts sweated it out in a rigorous zumba workout session.

Elucidating on the benefits of a Zumba workout session, Mansi Dixit from Gold Gym said, “Zumba is a dance-inspired fitness regimen. The finer nuances of Zumba have been derived from dance forms like Salsa, reggaeton and hip-hop. It is a holistic fitness regimen which is finding wider acceptance from the young and old alike.

“Youngsters formed a large part of the fitness-conscious brigade at Dawntrekker. Exalting the efforts put into bringing together the event, Disha, an 18-year old fitness enthusiast said, “I personally believe that events like these will help popularize the concept of fitness and encourage a healthy way of living. I had never thought that broader fitness sessions can be made so exciting and peppy. A balanced mix of the latest music numbers and well executed dance steps not only enhance the mental mood for exercising but also promise physical benefits in the long run.”

For those who were not seeking excitement in rigorous dance numbers, yoga sessions were held in a subdued and relaxed environ. Yoga has been described not as an exercise regimen but as a way of life in the ancient scriptures, pointed out yoga instructor Karen from fitness Guru Mickey Mehta’s studio. “yoga is essential for all age-groups, especially for the current young generation. They battle a host of problems like anxieties, increasing competition and hormonal imbalances which can be alleviated by adhering to a yogic way of life”, concluded Karen.

GymTrekker, launched by a group of youngsters bound by a common passion of fitness, has already enrolled 3500 fitness centres on the portal, which is a one-stop solution for fitness solutions and products.
