Lions District 323 A2 and Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation in it's initiative towards SMART CITY and SWATCHA BHARAT ABHIYAAN held it on 14th December 2015

Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation in it's initiative towards SMART CITY and SWATCHA BHARAT ABHIYAAN has allotted 10 Walls in Prime Areas of Navi Mumbai to LIONS CLUBS INTL ORGANIZATION for Painting and beautifying to spread social messages.

The Activity Committee including Ln NRParameshwaran and Ln Pratap Mudaliar with DG Ln Nitin Shetty had the event on Monday 14th December 2015 at 4pm onwards at Sector 17, NR the SSC board office, Vashi. ,Navi Mumbai. PID Ln Ashok Mehta was present. Surprise of the event was 2nd International Vice President Endorsee, PID Lion Gudrun Yngvadottir, from Gardabaer, Iceland and her husband PID Ln Jón Bjarni Thorsteinsson, who are in Mumbai on 2 days visit to Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.

Ln NRP, Pratap, Kavvita and Atreyee and others, felt each one of us whole heartedly participated in swatch bharat - 'Paint the wall activity', which has been the first of its kind innovative and unique activity in our district. We have made a change... Lets take it forward... Lets make bharat swatch abhiyaan a unique and successful in Navi Mumbai and whole of India in turn.

DG Nitin said that Lions have signed a MOU with NMMC for SWATCH N SMART NAVI MUMBAI. As a beginning, Activity committee has organised a " Paint Your City" event where by we shall paint the walls with our own hands.

This is one of the initiative the world's no 1 NGO LIONS has taken, besides clean and hygiene self sufficient rural areas and villages wherein villages in Maharashtra are equipped with toilets, water reservoirs, solar system and women empowerment like tailoring unit for ladies to make them self independent, which are done thro adopting villages.
