On 13 Oct 2017, Vice Admiral Girish Luthra, FOC-in- C West, addressed about 1200 students at his alma mater Tagore Baal Niketan, Karnal; and about 1000 students at Dyal Singh Public School, Karnal. He also interacted with students and teachers at the schools. The FOC-in- C West also delivered a talk to the Rotary Club, Karnal, on Maritime India and the Indian Navy.
