Bengaluru, (DHNS): Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Tuesday said his government would introduce five-day week for government employees if the Cabinet gave its approval to the proposal.

“I know there is a proposal in this regard. I have no objection in implementing it if the Cabinet approves it. The proposal will be discussed in the Cabinet soon,” he told DH.

Social Welfare Minister Priyank Kharge had recently written to the chief minister, urging him to introduce five-day week for the employees. He said that the government should cut down on government holidays and introduce five-day week.
