Bengaluru, DHNS: A section of second-rung leaders in the state BJP?has again raised a banner of revolt against party president B?S?Yeddyurappa.

State BJP vice president and former MLA Nirmal Kumar Surana and former MLC A H Shivayogi Swamy on Friday questioned Yeddyurappa’s style of functioning.

They sought to know why the assurance purportedly made by Yeddyurappa to BJP president Amit Shah last month that he will be reviewing the appointment of office bearers and district presidents has not been fulfilled. The leaders in a recent letter to Yeddyurappa had objected to his “unilateral decisions” while appointing party functionaries.

Surana and Swamy told reporters here that the state unit was to form a committee comprising Yeddyurappa, senior leader K S Eshwarappa, BJP general secretary Muralidhar Rao and party organisation secretary B L Santosh to discuss changes in the office-bearers. The committee was to prepare a report and send it to Shah by February 10.

Surana and Swamy, both close to Eshwarappa, said they will soon meet the central leadership and inform them that the committee is yet to be formed.

In another development, Eshwarappa is said to be contemplating associating himself again with the Sangoli Rayanna Brigade. Shah last month had brokered peace between Yeddyurappa and Eshwarappa.
