Bangalore hosts First International Leadership Workshop for Childhood Professionals held in India

31th January 2016 - Bangalore: In an endeavor to spread Leadership Education for Childhood Professionals, Leadership Institute for Early Years – 2016, a flagship initiative of LIFE, kick-started a two-day certificate leadership workshop from Hopkinton Consulting Group, MA., USA. It is for the first time in India an event is specially curated for the Childhood Professionals. In Bangalore , the workshop that started today at Chancery Pavillion, ends tomorrow.

Life India has an impressive list of coaches such as Dr. Natalie Seer (Director, Rainbow School & Pepper Tree, Stanford University), Dr. Ezat Parnia(President, Hopkinton Consulting Group), Jayanti Tambe (Executive Director, UCLA Early Care and Education) and Holly Elissa Bruno (M.A., J.D.)

Nearly 25 schools from Bangalore participated in the workshop. Schools leaders, Principals and Teachers were a part of the workshop.

“Early childhood leadership is need of the hour to learn to lead in the times of Change. Education system in India is limiting itself from the best practices available internationally. India needs to adopt such practices”, said Jayanti Tambe, Executive Director, UCLA Early Care and Education.

On this occasion, Jayanti Tambe also launched her book - 'A Kaleidoscope of Children'
which gives the reader an insight on how to awaken young minds and inspire childhood curiosity and creativity.

Eminent Author and Coach, Holly Elissa Bruno expressed, “Early childhood professionals and leaders need to possess the right tools to navigate through this complex journey during turbulent times. This institute provides research on the best practices that help leaders in the early childhood field to motivate teachers and manage change”.

The institute, through its thoroughly researched pedagogy enables future leaders to be the agents of change in their fields.

With an impressive advisory board like Dr M.K.Sridhar (Researcher, Teacher, Mentor and Social Activist), Swati Popat Vats (Director, Podar Jumbo Kids; President, Podar Education Network), Edison Thomas (Senior Editor, The Hindu) , Jayanti Tambe (Executive Director, UCLA Early Care and Education) and John Jay Bonsting (Advisor in Quality Learning and Improvement), this workshop is going to be a must attend for the teachers and educators in the city.
