Bengaluru, (DHNS): Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday said that the government had not permitted the BJP to hold bike rally as part of its ‘Mangaluru Chalo’, as it would have disrupted peace and harmony in the coastal district.

Speaking to reporters at his official residence ‘Krishna’ in Bengaluru, Siddaramaiah said that the government was not opposed to the BJP holding a convention or a rally in Mangaluru. But at no cost, the government would accord permission for the party to hold a bike rally, he said.

“The BJP is trying to disturb peace and harmony in Mangaluru, which the government has tried to prevent,” he added.
