Bengaluru, (DHNS): Union Minister of State for Skill Development Anantkumar Hegde's "barking dogs" comment has invited the ire of senior Congress leader Mallikarjuna Kharge.

"People like Hegde are born to divide the society. These are the real culprits, Kharge told reporters in the city on Sunday, reacting to Hegde's comments.

Kharge charged that Hegde was making such statements at the behest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "We will raise the matter in parliament," he said.

In another part of Bengaluru, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee working president Dinesh Gundu Rao said the recent statements of Hedge against the Constitution, thinkers and now Dalits reflected his culture and mindset.

Rao charged that Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah had made Hegde union minister only to make such statements.
