Madikeri, DHNS: The family of deputy superintendent of police M K Ganapathi on Monday decided not to cooperate with the CID and judicial probe in connection with the suicide of DySP Ganapathi.

The family members took the decision after completing the 11th day ritual of Ganapathi. Kushalappa, father of Ganapathi demanded the CBI probe into the death of his son. “The judicial enquiry will not bring out the truth. We will not extend cooperation to the CID and judicial enquiry,” he said.

The CID team visited Ganapathi’s house in Rangasamudra near Kushalnagar to record the statement of Pavana and Nehal, the wife and son of Ganapathi respectively, on Monday. However, the team returned empty-handed.

Pavana has given answers to three-page questions posed by the CID. She has even reportedly told the officials that she will not allow the CID officials to conduct an investigation in her residence in Mangaluru, till the case is handed over to the CBI, said sources.
