Bengaluru, (DHNS): A day after Bengaluru Development Minister K J George took a dig at the JD(S) for its not having sufficient numbers in the BBMP council, the regional party has upped its ante in its demand for the Mayoral post.

JD(S) MLC T A Sharavana said if the Congress does not hand over the post to his party, then it would pull out of the alliance. He said that the JD(S) was upset with the Congress’ conduct. “George has ridiculed the JD(S) for not having sufficient numbers. But he does not realise that every single vote counts. The JD(S) has 23 votes in total, including the 14 corporators. The Congress is making a mistake by not taking us seriously,” he said.
