Govt. thinking of internal reservation for Koraga community, says Anjaneya

Udupi (The Hindu): He was speaking at a public function held as part of his ‘grama vastavya’ programme. H. Anjaneya, Social Welfare Minister, said on Saturday that the government was thinking of providing internal reservation to the Koraga and Jenukuruba communities in order to provide better education and jobs to these two most tribal communities among the Scheduled Tribes.

He was speaking at a public function held as part of his “grama vastavya” programme organized by the district administration and the Department of Social Welfare here.

Mr. Anjaneya said there was a demand to increase the money provided for the construction of a house for tribal communities from Rs. 2 lakh to Rs. 4.5 lakh. He would bring this matter to the notice of the Chief Minister so that the latter can decide on it.
