Mangaluru, DHNS: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday announced interest-free loans for women self-help groups (SHGs).
Addressing the gathering during the launch of the statewide birth centenary celebrations of former prime minister, the late Indira Gandhi, at Nehru Maidan here, Siddaramaiah said a government order (GO) in this regard will be issued after the legislature session.
Siddaramaiah said that while the farmers are already enjoying the benefit of loan at zero rate of interest from cooperative societies, women are given loan at 4% rate of interest.
