Madime being re-made in Marathi

Mangaluru (The Hindu): In a first, a Tulu film is being re-made in Marathi now. In fact, this is the first time that a Tulu cinema is being re-made in another Indian language. The film in question is Madime (marriage), released in 2014 and directed by Vijaya Kumar Kodialbail. He told The Hindu that Marathi and Hindi actors have acted in the re-make. Its shooting has been completed and post-production is under way. The story, screenplay and dialogue (in Marathi) are by Mr. Kodialbail.

When the Marathi version is released, it will be screened in at least 300 theatres across Maharashtra, he said.
