Bengaluru, DHNS: Gradeup, a mobile app-based education platform, helps students prepare for 30 different competitive exams.

Besides connecting each other, the platform helps students associate with mentors and resources which help them achieve their educational goals.

Gradeup co-founder and CEO Shobhit Bhatnagar told DH, “Gradeup intends to become the platform of choice for anyone preparing for any competitive exams in India. We are adding more exams to the Gradeup ecosystem as we grow.”

The app is free of cost and charges the students on its web-based platform for full-length test series. “Students can clear doubts, share information and discover content for free. Our intention is to build services on top as our core value to our users. These service can be like - assessments, tutoring etc. Today, we are selling assessment (full-length tests) for some of the exams. The typical ticket size is between Rs 200 and Rs 400.” India’s largest test prep community, Gradeup has entered the competitive exam space primarily focusing on banking, SSC (Staff Selection Commission), GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering), and TET (Teachers Eligibility Test) exams, and has recently added engineering and MBA entrance examinations.

“Our goal is to cover all major competitive exams in India by March 2017. In addition to the current exams we have, we will be adding UPSC (Union Public Service Commission), NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test — Medical), NDA, CDS CA/CS, and UGC NET,” Bhatnagar said, adding, “We intend to extend our platform to cater to school education.”

Referring to the importance of the Karnataka market, he said, “Over one lakh students from the state log in every month.
