Mohiuddin Bava injured in road accident

Mangaluru (The Hindu): Mangaluru City North MLA B.A. Mohiuddin Bava suffered a fracture on his left arm after the car in which he was travelling fell into a ditch in Panambur on Wednesday.

According to the police, Mr. Bava was on his way to take a flight to Bengaluru from the Mangaluru International Airport. As his car was nearing Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilizers (MCF) Ltd. in Panambur, Mr. Bava’s driver saw the gate of a railway level-crossing being closed to allow a train carrying goods from MCF to the New Mangalore Port.

The police said that the driver, while trying to bring the vehicle to a halt, lost control and it fell into a ditch by the side of the highway around 7 a.m. The MLA was taken to a private hospital in Kadri. The driver was unhurt. The hospital authorities said that a surgery would be performed to set right the hairline facture the MLA has suffered.
