Bengaluru (DHNS): The Jet Airways will launch more flights on its domestic and international networks during this summer, with prominent being, services to Abu Dhabi from three cities, including Mangaluru.
Jet Airways Chief Executive Officer Cramer Ball said they are increasing five per cent capacity on their domestic routes and another 11 per cent on the international network. He said that the carrier also plans to launch new flight services to Abu Dhabi from Pune, Mangaluru and Ahmedabad, as part of its summer schedule. Ball said the airline’s restructuring plan is going on as planned and it would become profitable in three years. He said the airline has seen a lot of improvement in finances recently.
The airline had reported profit in Quarter 3 after seven straight quarter losses. He also said that the airline had no plans to discontinue its subsidiary JetLite, which flies under the erstwhile Air Sahara operating permit. The airline had announced a three-year-long restructure process last July to turn it profitable in three years.
