Bengaluru, (DHNS): Actor Prakash Rai said Dharma is for leading the path of light and not to lit the fire. He was speaking at the 'Save Constitution and Save Country Campaign' held as part of the 127th birth anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar organised by the Karnataka Dalit Sangharsh Samiti Maha Okkoota and Dalit Damanithara Swabhimani Horata Samiti in Udupi on Tuesday.

"Those who oppose the BJP for engaging in politics in the name of Mutt and Dharma Peeta are not criticised," he said. He said all attempts are being made to suppress the minority by the majority. Ambedkar framed the Constitution to allow all to live equally in the country. But now a situation has arisen wherein there is a need to initiate a campaign to safeguard the Constitution.

“Communalism is synonymous with BJP. BJP National President Amit Shah has been trying to create unrest to win the election. The country will be in danger if the BJP comes to power once again,” he said. Campaign convener K L Ashok, Mohammed Yasin Malpe of Jilla Muslim Okkuta, Komu Sauharda Vedike president G Rajashekar and others were present.
