'Panchaparameshti aradhana' held

Shravanabelagola, (DHNS): The first Panchaparameshti aradhana, as part of Panchakalyana Mahotsava of the 88th Bahubali Mahamastakabhisheka, was held with religious fervour at Shravanabelagola in Hassan district on Monday.

The rituals started with suprabhata. Children performed yoga. The rituals included abhisheka for 24 thirthankaras, yaga mandala aradhane, purvadisha homa, navagraha shanti homa, trikunda homa, panchaparameshti aradhana, gomukha, chakreshwari yaksha yakshiyara puja and others at Chavundaraya Sabha, guided by Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Swami.

More than 300 Indra-Indrani Parivara and munis participated. The rituals related to four kalyana rituals, as part of Adinatha Panchakalyana, as part of the Mastakabhisheka festival ended on Sunday night.

The Moksha Kalyana will be held on February 17, the first Mahamastakabhisheka day. Till then, several religious rituals will be held every day as part of Kevalajnana Kalyana at the Samskhara Mantap and the Chavundaraya Sabha Mantap, along with religious discourses by the Jain acharyas.
