Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday directed his ministers representing north Karnataka to coordinate with other ministers in preparing a comprehensive agenda for the State Cabinet meeting scheduled to be held in Kalaburagi on November 28.
Siddaramaiah, who held a meeting with the ministers at his home office Krishna, is learnt to have directed them to prepare a list of issues of utmost public importance in north Karnataka, especially Hyderabad Karnataka region. They have been asked to discuss those issues with the officials concerned, who will in turn, take steps to include them in the Cabinet agenda, sources said.
The chief minister had convened the meeting as he was reportedly upset with his ministers for not showing eagerness in preparing agenda for the Cabinet meeting. Kannada and Culture Minister Umashree, Medical Education Minister Dr Sharan Prakash Patil, Textiles Minister Baburao Chinchansur, Labour Minister P T Parameshwar Naik, Minor Irrigation Minister Shivaraj Tangadagi, Primary and Secondary Education Minister Kimmane Ratnakar and Law Minister T B Jayachandra are among the ministers who attended the meeting.
Those holding minister of State rank and who hail from north Karnataka region are learnt to have urged the chief minister to hold the meeting of his council of ministers in Kalaburagi, instead of the Cabinet meeting. Dr Sharan Prakash Patil, Parameshwar Naik and Umashree are among the ministers who petitioned the chief minister in this regard.
