Bengaluru (DHNS): BJP national president Amit Shah, who has convened a meeting to sort out the differences between state BJP leaders B S Yeddyurappa and K S Eshwarappa on Friday, has also invited senior RSS leader from the state Mukund to seek his opinion on the rift.

Mukund is learnt to have met several senior RSS leaders in the state and is likely to convey the organisation’s opinion to Shah.

As both Yeddyurappa and Eshwarappa claim that they have the backing of the RSS for all their decisions, Shah wanted to hear from the RSS directly about its opinion and steps to be taken to address the crisis , a senior party leader told DH.

Shah, who has already gathered information about the warring groups from various leaders including Muralidhara Rao — general secretary incharge of the party affairs in Karnataka — wanted to put an end to the problems immediately, he said.

While some state BJP leaders said Eshwarappa should be allowed to continue with his Sangolli Rayanna Brigade as a non-political organisation, others feel it would harm the party as it had already created confusion among the cadre.

Shah is expected to take a decision on whether to allow Eshwarappa to continue with the outfit or make changes in the list of office-bearers appointed by Yeddyurappa to assuage the feelings of disgruntled leaders.
