Rahul Gandhi to visit CityToday

Bengaluru, DHNS: Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit Bengaluru for a day on Thursday to interact with the students of Mount Carmel College. He will deliver a talk on ‘The role of youth in building vibrant India’.

Rahul is expected to arrive in Bengaluru around noon. He will stay at the Kumara Krupa guesthouse till 1 pm and later take part in a discussion with the representatives of Mount Carmel College management.

He will also interact with the college students, State Congress president G Parameshwara said.

The event is organised by the college and the party has nothing to do with it. It is a closed-door event and the media is barred from covering it due to space constraint, he said.
Not many invitees

None of the political leaders, except the State Congress president and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, has been invited to the event.

However, Rahul may speak to the media after the event, Parameshwara added. He said Rahul had not given appointment to anybody, including any of the State party leaders in Bengaluru. He is scheduled to leave for Delhi at 5 pm.
