New Delhi, (DHNS): Former prime minister H D Deve Gowda on Wednesday came out in support of former Congress MP Ramya for “praising” Pakistan and said “she is free to express her opinion on Pakistan.”
“There is nothing anti-national in her statement,” Gowda told reporters here adding, “Ramya need not apologise for her statement praising Pakistan.”
“There are good people in Pakistan, who want peace with India. Former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee tried to resolve the dispute between India and Pakistan in a peaceful manner. However, fundamentalists thwarted the attempt,” he said.
Reacting to Karnataka Chief Secretary Aravind Jadhav’s alleged land controversy, Gowda said the state government should probe the matter and take action against the guilty.
