Bengaluru, (DHNS): Mining baron G Janardhana Reddy on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy for “conspiring against him and making his police officials” file false cases against him.

Reddy was speaking to reporters after being released from the Parappana Agrahara central prison here, after he was granted bail in a money-laundering case by a city court. The former minister said Kumaraswamy was having grudge against him for revealing that he had taken Rs 150 crore from the mining lobby in 2006, which led to a corruption case being filed against him. Reddy said Kumaraswamy was exacting revenge after 12 years, “like a cobra”.

Reddy said Additional Commissioner of Police (crime) Alok Kumar and S Girish DCP (crime) were acting at Kumaraswamy’s behest. He said the Congress-JD(S), due to their coalition government, think that they can do whatever they want and that BJP had ditched him. “Let them run the government till it lasts,” he said. Reddy urged Kumaraswamy and Home Minister G Parameshwara to provide him special security.

On the charge that he had taken money to bail out the Ambidant case suspects from the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Reddy asked how could he help others when his own ED cases, quashed by the High Court, were before the Supreme Court. Reddy said Ali Khan and his relatives have invested nearly Rs 70 lakh in Ambidant company, but the company neither gave interest nor principal. G Janardhana ReddyKumaraswamyscathing attack.
